My traveling companions dragged me along on a grueling .5 mile hike through the woods. I managed to lose them at the "Signs of Life" interpretive station, but, to my horror, they returned 40 minutes later and reclaimed me.
Headed to the North Cascades to get out of the city for a weekend. Found myself in Concrete, WA where locals had recently unearthed a 77 year old time capsule containing. . . concrete. I kid you not.
This was not exactly the luxurious vacation I had in mind but it wasn't so bad. I stayed dry most of the time and my lipstick never ran. My oarsman was competent but far too sassy for my taste.
