Much of the local fruits are still unripe though we found many imported goods to my liking in the markets of Honolulu's Chinatown.

I like the climate. I am enjoying the food. Finally a real vacation where I can relax!

Boring

I was promised a mini vacation to Memphis. Instead we ended up marooned in some mega mall in a suburb named Collierville. The hotel room was satisfactory which is good because that was about all I saw.


The local laws were strange and arbitrary.


The one night when my traveling companion went out drinking and socializing I was left behind with some excuse about her not wanting her new friends to feel uncomfortable in my presence. I am constantly being discriminated against because of my chosen profession.


The next day, the aforementioned wingnut thought she could humor me with a long lecture about the courting rituals of the Mockingbird. Seriously this woman needs to get her head checked. She dragged me around a freezing, vacant parking lot for an hour to see these noisy (and rather drab if you ask me) birds!
